Establishment: Kendriya Vidyalaya Kapurthala Cantt. was established in 1986 and is being run under the aegis of the KVS. Its main aim was to cater the children of Defense personnel. The Vidayalya has proved itself to be the vital and indispensable organ of the organization. (KVS).

In the present scenario where Indian Culture and traditions are being constantly influenced by the west, the Vidyalaya tries to amalgamate both by instilling in the child a scientific temper and respect for his own cultural heritage and traditional values of life, a fusion that prepares him for facing the new challenges of the fast changing world.

The main objectives therefore are:

Location: The Vidyalaya is located in the peaceful surroundings of New Military Station, Kapurthala. The entire school complex is spread over 12 acres of land and is well organized and has well equipped classrooms; laboratories, three Computer Labs and well maintained playgrounds for all the major disciplines in sports. The students take the AISSE at X level and AISSCE at +2 level. The Vidyalaya offers Science (Medical and Non-Medical) and Commerce stream. The Vidyalaya also offers Computer Science / Informatics Practices at +2 level as one of the optional subjects.
